It used to be that guitar accessories consisted of strings and an amplifier. However, today’s world of accessories can be mind boggling. Pedals, processors, tuners and a variety of other items are all part of the modern guitar player’s arsenal.

The most important piece of any list of guitar accessories is the tuner, especially for beginning guitarists. An electric tuner is by far the easiest method for keeping your instrument tuned up and ready to play. Many of today’s tuners also include a metronome, which is of great benefit if used during practice sessions.

Pedals and effects processors are among the most popular of guitar accessories. The variation in sound that is possible through the use of these devices is virtually limitless. Distortion, chorus, and flangers are just a few of the available effects for today’s guitarists.
